Hey Now, You're An All Star
The AHL All-Star Classic is one of the league’s premier midseason events, bringing together the American Hockey League’s top players, prospects, and coaches for a showcase of skill, competition, and emerging talent. I travelled to Palm Springs and Chicago to provide on-site coverage of Calgary Flames prospects Rory Kerins, Devin Cooley, Matvei Gridin, and Head Coach Brett Sutter, capturing the stories and moments surrounding the event.
Leading the content strategy and execution on-site, I guided the ideation, planning, and production of digital content alongside a small creative team. From developing concepts and coordinating coverage plans to managing digital output in a fast-paced environment, I helped create timely, engaging content while adapting quickly to the unique opportunities of a live event setting.
Beyond content production, I built relationships with fellow digital teams and media partners to create collaborative opportunities that expanded the reach of our coverage. The content generated significant engagement, earning recognition and reshares from the American Hockey League, National Hockey League, and major sports media outlets including Barstool Sports, BarDown, and Bleacher Report.
Across each event, our coverage averaged more than 1.5 million impressions, showcasing the impact of strategic, real-time storytelling and the value of bringing fans closer to the prospects and personalities shaping the future of hockey.
